How to use the online timer
- Enter hours, minutes and seconds, or tap a quick preset like 1, 3 or 5 minutes. Presets start right away.
- Press Start. The ring and the browser tab title show the time remaining.
- When time is up, the alarm rings and a message appears. Press Stop alarm to get the same timer ready again.

Add ?t=5m, ?t=1h30m or ?t=90s to the address to preset the time. A plain number is read as minutes.
Frequently asked questions
Is the timer accurate when I'm on another tab?
Yes. BaroTimer counts down from a fixed end time and checks the clock in a way browsers don't slow down in the background, so the alarm rings on time even if you switch tabs or minimize the window. If you close the tab or browser, the alarm won't ring.
I can't hear the alarm.
Check that your device isn't on silent or do-not-disturb and that the browser tab isn't muted. Use 'Test sound' in the alarm settings to check the volume. Browsers may block sound until you interact with the page, so press the Start button yourself.
Can I save or share a timer I use often?
Press 'Copy link' in the alarm settings to copy an address with the time and label. For example, bookmark or share barotimer.bigadmin.org/en/?t=3m&title=Tea to get a 3 minute tea timer ready instantly.
Is it free? Do I need an account?
It's completely free, with no sign-up or install. Your settings are saved only in your browser.
Does it work on my phone?
